Bullet comp.lang.perl.misc-This newsgroup can be extremely helpful as there are a lot of Perl gurus, including some of the popular book authors, that frequent this site. I would like to offer some suggestions regarding posting questions to this group:

  • Read the FAQ and do what you can to answer your question yourself.
  • Make sure your question pertains to Perl and not CGI.
  • Write a subject heading that describes your question succinctly.
If you don't follow the above suggestions, you will get a few abrupt replies. If you don't know what abrupt means, please see the synonyms I have gladly provided. After you've spent some time there, you'll know what I mean. :) As long as you follow the above suggestions, you can get a great deal of help from some of the most knowledgeable people in the world.
